Qalqilya, also known as Qalqiliya, is a city located in the West Bank of Palestine. It serves as the administrative center for the Qalqilya Governorate and had a recorded population of 51,683 in 2017.
The city is currently under the administration of the Palestinian National Authority while remaining under Israeli military occupation. Geographically, it is surrounded by the Israeli West Bank wall, featuring a narrow gap to the east controlled by the Israeli military and a tunnel connecting to the Palestinian town of Hableh.
