Halhul

Palestinian Territory

Halhul is a Palestinian city situated in the southern region of the West Bank within the Hebron Governorate. It is located approximately 5 kilometres north of Hebron and sits at an elevation of 916 metres above sea level, making it the highest inhabited place in the State of Palestine.

The city is bordered by Sa'ir and al-Shuyukh to the east, Beit Ummar and the al-Arroub refugee camp to the north, and Kharas and Nuba to the west. According to data from the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, the population of Halhul was 27,031 in 2017.
