Koszalin is a city located in northwestern Poland within the West Pomerania region. It serves as a county-status city and functions as the capital of Koszalin County in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship.
The city is situated approximately 12 kilometres south of the Baltic Sea coast and is intersected by the river Dzierżęcinka.
