Szamotuły is a town located in western Poland within the Greater Poland Voivodeship. It is situated approximately 35 kilometres northwest of the city center of Poznań.
The town serves as the administrative seat for both Szamotuły County and the smaller district of Gmina Szamotuły. As of the 2011 census, the population of the town was recorded at 19,090 residents.
