Środa Wielkopolska is a town located in western-central Poland within the Greater Poland Voivodeship. It is situated approximately 30 kilometres (19 mi) southeast of the city of Poznań.
The town serves as the administrative seat for both Środa County and Gmina Środa Wielkopolska. As of 2009, the population of the municipality was recorded at 22,001 inhabitants.
