Kalisz is a city located in central Poland and serves as the capital of the Kalisz Land. It is currently the second-largest city within the Greater Poland Voivodeship, with a population of 97,905 residents.
The city is situated on the Prosna river in the southeastern part of the Greater Poland region. Geographically, it forms a conurbation with the neighboring towns of Ostrów Wielkopolski and Nowe Skalmierzyce.
