Gniezno is a city located in central-western Poland, situated approximately 50 kilometres east of Poznań. As of 2021, it had a population of 66,769 residents, making it the sixth-largest city within the Greater Poland Voivodeship.
The city serves as the administrative seat for Gniezno County (powiat).
