Połaniec is a town located in Staszów County within the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship of Poland. Situated in the Lesser Poland region, it has an approximate population of 8,406 inhabitants as of 2012.

The town's history dates back to the early days of Polish statehood and is located in the western part of the Sandomierz Basin. It lies a few kilometers north of the Vistula river along National Road Nr. 79, which connects Bytom to Warsaw. The area is served by a railway station on secondary line nr. 75, running from Rytwiany to Połaniec.
