Chęciny is a town located in Kielce County within the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship in southern Poland. As of December 2021, the municipality had a population of 4,361 inhabitants.
The town's historical origins date back to its first mention in documents from 1275. It officially obtained its city charter in 1325, at which time it served as one of the major urban centers of northern Lesser Poland.
