Zabrze is an industrial city located in the Silesia region of southern Poland. It is situated near Katowice and lies within the western part of the Metropolis GZM, which has a population of approximately 2 million people.
The city is positioned in the Silesian Highlands along the Bytomka River, which serves as a tributary of the Oder River.
