Tykocin is a small town situated in north-eastern Poland within the Podlaskie Voivodeship. Located on the banks of the Narew river, it is part of Białystok County and had a population of 2,010 inhabitants as of 2012.
The town is recognized as one of the oldest settlements in the region. Its historic center has been officially designated as a Historic Monument of Poland due to its preservation and significance.
