Łomża is a city located in north-eastern Poland within the Podlaskie Voivodeship. It is situated along the Narew River, approximately 150 kilometres (93 mi) to the north-east of Warsaw and 80 kilometres (50 mi) west of Białystok.
The city serves as the capital of Łomża County. Additionally, it has functioned as the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Łomża since 1925.
