Sanok, officially known as the Royal Free City of Sanok, is a town located in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship in southeastern Poland. As of June 2016, the city had a population of 38,397 inhabitants.
The town is situated on the San River, approximately 52 km (32 mi) south of Przemyśl. It lies directly adjacent to the Carpathian Mountains.
