Lesko is a town located in south-eastern Poland within the Bieszczady mountains. It serves as the administrative capital of Lesko County, a role it has held since 2002.
The town is situated in the heartland of the Doły (Pits) region and sits at an average altitude of 390 metres above sea level. While the area features some hills within its boundaries, it maintains a distinct geographical identity within the mountain range. As of June 2, 2009, the town had a population of 5,755 residents.
