Zakroczym is a town located in the Masovian Voivodeship of Poland. The Vistula River flows through the town, which serves as a geographical landmark for the area.

The town possesses a long and rich history within the Kingdom of Poland and the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. During these periods, Zakroczym served as the capital of an administrative unit known as a ziemia in the Mazovian Voivodeship. Additionally, it held the status of a royal town of the Crown of the Kingdom of Poland.
