Sokołów Podlaski is a town located in the Masovian Voivodeship of Poland, situated approximately 80 kilometres east of Warsaw. It serves as the capital of Sokołów County and is positioned along the Cetynia river within the historical region of Podlachia.
The area's history dates back to a first settlement in the 6th century, though the town officially received its charter in 1424. As of 2004, the population of Sokołów Podlaski was recorded at 18,434.
