Proszowice is a town located in southern Poland within the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. It serves as the capital of Proszowice County and is situated approximately 25 kilometers northeast of Kraków on the right bank of the Szreniawa river.
As of 2004, the town had a population of 6,206 inhabitants. It remains a notable administrative center in the region.
