Miechów is a town situated in southern Poland within the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. It serves as the capital of Miechów County and is located approximately 40 kilometres north of Kraków.
The town is positioned along the Miechówka river and sits on European route E77. It also features a rail station located on the main railroad line connecting the cities of Kraków and Warsaw. As of 2004, the population of Miechów was recorded at 11,852.
