Świdnica is a city located in south-western Poland along the Bystrzyca River. It serves as the seat of both Świdnica County and the Gmina Świdnica district within the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
As of 2021, the city has a population of 55,413 inhabitants and ranks as the seventh largest city in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. On January 23, 2014, Świdnica officially became part of the Wałbrzych agglomeration.
