Szczebrzeszyn is a town located in southeastern Poland within the Lublin Voivodeship, specifically in Zamość County. It is situated approximately 20 km west of the city of Zamość and serves as the administrative seat for the Gmina Szczebrzeszyn district.

The town is notable for its cultural significance as the "Capital City of Polish Language." Additionally, it lends its name to the Szczebrzeszyn Landscape Park. According to a 2004 census, the population of the town was 5,357 inhabitants.
