Opole Lubelskie is a town located in southeastern Poland within the Lublin Voivodeship. Situated approximately 10 kilometers east of the Vistula River, it serves as the capital of Opole County.
The town was founded in the 14th century and historically belongs to the Lublin Land, which is a part of Lesser Poland. As of 2004, the population of Opole Lubelskie was recorded at 8,879 inhabitants.
