Janów Lubelski is a town located in southeastern Poland within the Lublin Voivodeship. It serves as the capital of Janów County and covers an area of approximately 14.80 square kilometers. As of 2006, the town had a population of 11,938 inhabitants.
Historically part of Lesser Poland, the town is situated on the Białka River at the edge of the Roztocze hilly region. The Solska Forest lies to the south of Janów Lubelski. Notable local landmarks include the Open-air museum of the Forest Railway.
