Łowicz is a town located in central Poland within the Łódź Voivodeship. As of 2021, the municipality has a population of 27,436 inhabitants.
The town serves as a major rail junction for the region. Together with the nearby station of Bednary, Łowicz facilitates the split of the railway line from Warsaw into two primary directions: toward Poznań and toward Łódź. Additionally, the Łowicz Main station is connected to Skierniewice via a secondary-importance line.
