Łódź is a city located in central Poland and serves as the capital of the Łódź Voivodeship. It is situated approximately 120 km (75 mi) southwest of Warsaw.
As of 2025, the city has a population of 639,890, making it the fourth largest city in Poland. Historically, Łódź was established as a major industrial centre.
