Środa Śląska is a town located in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in south-western Poland. It serves as the administrative seat for both Środa County and the smaller district known as Gmina Środa Śląska. The town is situated on the Średzka Woda creek, approximately 32 km (20 mi) west of the regional capital, Wrocław.

As part of the Wrocław metropolitan area, the town had a population of 9,516 as of 2019. It functions as a local administrative center within its respective county and district.
