Chojnów is a small town situated in Legnica County within the Lower Silesian Voivodeship of south-western Poland. It is located along the Skora river, which serves as a tributary to the Kaczawa, at an average altitude of 170 meters (560 ft) above sea level.

The town serves as the administrative seat for the rural gmina known as Gmina Chojnów. However, Chojnów is not geographically part of that rural territory; instead, it functions as a separate urban gmina. As of December 2021, the population of the town was recorded at 13,002 inhabitants.
