Shahpur Chakar is a small town located in the Sanghar District of the Sindh province in Pakistan. Situated at an altitude of 17 meters (56 feet), it lies in close proximity to the city of Shahdadpur.
The town's name is derived from "Shahpur," a term originating from an Iranian language that describes a virile, dynamic, and resourceful man with a distinct charm. The settlement was founded by four renowned saints, and its four colonies are named in honor of these mystic figures.
Historically, Shahpur Chakar gained prominence due to the presence of Mir Chakar Talpur, a brave warrior who was the son of Mir Shahdad Talpur.
