Rohri is a city located in the Sukkur District of the Sindh province in Pakistan. It is situated on the east bank of the Indus River, positioned directly across from Sukkur, which is the third most populous city in the province.
The city serves as the administrative headquarters of Rohri Taluka and functions as a tehsil of Sukkur District, with which it forms a metropolitan area. Historically, the site is significant for its role in the expansion of Muslim rule into India; it was known as Aror and was captured by Muhammad ibn al-Qasim in 711 CE.
