Jacobabad

Jacobabad is a city located in the Sindh province of Pakistan. It serves as the capital city of the Jacobabad District and functions as the administrative center for the Jacobabad Taluka, which is an administrative subdivision within the district. The city is organized into eight Union Councils.

Situated in the far northwest of the province near the boundaries of Sindh and Balochistan, the city was established on the site of a pre-existing village known as Khangarh. It serves as a transportation hub, intersected by many of the province's main roads and the Pakistan Railways. Jacobabad currently ranks as the 43rd most populous city in Pakistan.
