Sheikhupura, also known as Qila Sheikhupura, is a city located in the Punjab province of Pakistan. Situated approximately 38 km northwest of Lahore, it serves as the headquarters for the Sheikhupura District and borders the districts of Sialkot, Gujranwala, Nankana Sahib, and Kasur.
The city was founded in 1607 by the Mughal emperor Jahangir as a citadel. Today, it functions as an industrial center and satellite town. It ranks as the 10th-largest city in Punjab and the 15th-largest city in Pakistan by population.
