Shakargarh

Shakargarh is a city located in the north-east of the Narowal District in Punjab, Pakistan. It serves as the capital of the Shakargarh Tehsil and is situated on the west bank of the Ravi River at coordinates 32°16'0N 75°10'0E. The city borders Kathua District to the east and Zafarwal Tehsil to the west.

The Shakargarh Tehsil is administratively divided into 35 union councils, three of which comprise the capital city itself. Notably, the area maintains a literacy rate of more than 85%, which is the highest among all tehsils in the region.
