Nankana Sahib is a city located in the central part of Punjab, Pakistan. It serves as the headquarters for its eponymous district and is situated approximately 91 km west of Lahore and 75 km east of Faisalabad.
The city is named after Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism, who was born and based in this location. Because it contains his birthplace gurdwara, which is designated as a nationally 'Protected Heritage Monument,' Nankana Sahib is considered one of the holiest sites for Sikhs.
As of 2023, the city had a recorded population of 130,041 residents.
