Kharian is a city located in the north-central region of Punjab, Pakistan. Situated at the foothills of the Sub-Himalayan Range, it serves as the headquarters for its eponymous subdistrict within the Gujrat district.

The city has a residential population exceeding 103,036 and is recognized as one of the wealthiest subdistricts in Pakistan. It houses one of the largest cantonments in South Asia and is notable for having a significant overseas population.

Kharian is frequently referred to as the "Little Scandinavia" of Pakistan. This nickname stems from the fact that a majority of Pakistani Norwegians and Danish Pakistanis originate from this specific city.
