Kasur

Kasur is a city located in the Pakistani province of Punjab, situated to the south of Lahore. It serves as the headquarters for the Kasur District and is positioned near the border with India. The city borders the districts of Lahore, Sheikhupura, and Okara.

By population, Kasur ranks as the 16th largest city in Punjab and the 24th largest in Pakistan. Geographically, it is characterized as an aggregation of 26 fortified hamlets that overlook the alluvial valleys of the Beas and Sutlej rivers. The city is also notable for being the burial place of the 17th-century Sufi poet Bulleh Shah.
