Harappa is an archaeological site located in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is situated approximately 24 kilometres west of Sahiwal and derives its name from a modern village positioned near the former course of the Ravi River.
The geography of the area has shifted over time, as the Ravi River currently flows eight kilometres to the north of the site. The location serves as a significant point of historical interest within the region's archaeological landscape.
