Hafizabad

Pakistan

Hafizabad is a city and the capital of the Hafizabad District, situated in the Punjab province of Pakistan. Located to the east of the Chenab River, it is recognized as an old settlement with historical roots dating back centuries.

Historical records indicate that during Alexander's invasion of Punjab in 327 BC, the territory of the Sandal Bar was noted as a well-populated area containing numerous large cities. At that time, the region was organized into various sub-states governed by maharajas and rajas.
