Chunian is a historic city located in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It serves as the capital and headquarters of the Chunian Tehsil, which is a revenue sub-division within the Kasur District. The city is situated at an elevation of 177 meters (583 feet) and lies approximately 70 km south of Lahore, the provincial capital.
Historically, the city was part of the Lahore district until 1976. It is currently administratively subdivided into two union councils. The geographical coordinates for Chunian are 30° 58' N and 73° 51' E.
