Jamrūd, also known as Jam, is a town situated in the Khyber District of Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. It is positioned within the Valley of Peshawar on the western outskirts of Peshawar city.
The town serves as the gateway to the Khyber Pass, which lies immediately to its west. This strategic pass connects Jamrūd with Landi Kotal, a location near the border of Afghanistan's Nangarhar Province.
