Zaragoza, traditionally known in English as Saragossa, is a city located in Spain. It serves as the capital city of the autonomous community of Aragon and also functions as the capital of the province of Zaragoza.
The city is situated by the Ebro river and its tributaries, which include the Huerva and the Gállego rivers. Geographically, it lies roughly in the center of both the Ebro basin and the region of Aragon.
