Putatan is a municipality located in the capital of the Putatan district within the West Coast Division of Sabah, Malaysia. It serves as one of the satellite towns of the Kota Kinabalu metropolitan area, situated alongside the neighboring town of Petagas.

The population of Putatan was estimated to be approximately 100,000 in 2021. The municipality is served by the Putatan railway station, which functions as a stop for the Sabah State Railway. While it previously hosted the main campus of INTI College Sabah, that facility has since relocated to Tuaran.
