Gitagum is a municipality located in the province of Misamis Oriental in the Philippines. It is situated approximately 40 kilometers away from the city of Cagayan de Oro.
The municipality is bounded by the Mindanao Sea to the north, the Municipality of Laguindingan to the east, the Municipality of Alubijid to the south, and the Municipality of Libertad to the west. According to the 2024 census, Gitagum has a population of 19,269 people.
