Tacloban, officially known as the City of Tacloban, is a highly urbanized city situated in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines. It is located approximately 360 miles (580 km) southeast of the national capital, Manila.
As of the 2024 census, the city has a population of 259,353 residents. This figure makes Tacloban the most populous city within the Eastern Visayas region.
