Ormoc, officially known as the City of Ormoc, is an independent component city located in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines. It serves as a primary center for the province of Leyte, functioning as its economic, cultural, commercial, and transportation hub for the western portion of the island.
According to the 2024 census, the city has a population of 238,545 inhabitants. This demographic ranking makes Ormoc the second most-populous city in the province of Leyte, following only the provincial capital of Tacloban.
