Valladolid, also popularly known as Pucela, is a city in Spain located in the northern half of the Iberian Peninsula's Meseta Central. It serves as the primary seat of government and de facto capital of the autonomous community of Castile and León, while also functioning as the capital of the province of Valladolid.

The city is situated at the confluence of the Pisuerga and Esgueva rivers, approximately 15 km before they join the Duero river. It is surrounded by winegrowing areas and holds a population of 299,816 as of 2024, making it the most populated municipality in its region.
