Mount Bulusan, also known as Bulusan Volcano, is an active stratovolcano located on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. It is situated within the province of Sorsogon in the Bicol Region, positioned approximately 70 kilometres (43 mi) southeast of Mayon Volcano and about 390 kilometres (240 mi) southeast of Manila.
The area surrounding the volcano has a recorded history of settlement; an 1818 census noted that 1,777 native families paid tribute in the region while coexisting with 19 Spanish-Filipino families.
