San Clemente is a coastal city located in southern Orange County, California, in the United States. Situated roughly midway between Los Angeles and San Diego, it is positioned within the Orange Coast region of the South Coast of California. The city was officially named in 1925 after the Spanish colonial island.
The city is a popular tourist destination recognized for its beaches, hospitality industry, and distinctive Spanish Colonial Revival architecture. Its official slogan is "Spanish Village by the Sea." According to the 2020 census, San Clemente had a population of 64,293.
