Labrador is a geographic and cultural region located within the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. It constitutes the primarily continental portion of the province, accounting for 71% of its total area while housing only 6% of the population.
The region is separated from the island of Newfoundland by the Strait of Belle Isle. Geographically, it is recognized as the largest and northernmost region among the four Atlantic provinces in Canada.
