Rauna is a village located in Rauna Parish within the Smiltene Municipality of the Vidzeme region in Latvia. It serves as the administrative center for its respective parish.
The community originated and developed around a medieval bishop's castle. While there are conflicting reports regarding its location, it is situated in the northern part of the country.
