Fa'a'a is a commune located in the suburbs of Pape'ete in French Polynesia, an overseas country of France situated in the Pacific Ocean. It is positioned on the island of Tahiti within the administrative subdivision of the Windward Islands, which are part of the Society Islands.
As of the 2022 census, Fa'a'a had a population of 29,826, making it the most populous commune in both French Polynesia and on the island of Tahiti. The area sits at an average elevation of 9 meters (30 feet) above mean sea level.
The inland geography of Fa'a'a is characterized by numerous mountains that can reach heights of 1,500 meters (5,000 feet). Among these landmarks is Mount Marau, an extinct volcano located within the commune's inland limits that is visible from the nearby island of Mo'orea.
