Sullana is a city located in the north-western coastal plains of Peru. It serves as the capital of the Sullana Province within the Piura region and is situated specifically in the Chira valley.
Founded in 1783 as Santísima Trinidad de La Punta, the city has grown into one of the most significant urban centers in the Piura department. As of 2020, Sullana had a population of 225,615 residents.
